Does your Junior racer have what it takes to be among the racing elite? Our newly introduced Junior go-kart league will put the fastest pre-teen racers on the track for a 6 night season. Competition will be tough as you need a qualifying time of 26.99 seconds or better to enter the league. Junior racers must be at least 48 inches tall and not over 59 inches tall. Act fast, only 6 spots available in the league.

Thunderbolt Indoor Karting is the only place in Central Virginia to offer Junior racers the chance to drive at speeds approaching 40mph in state of the art Italian go-karts! A vast majority of professional motorsport athletes have a history of karting. Getting your Junior involved early is critical to get to the next level. Competing in a racing league teaches the importance of high-speed kart control, following racing guidelines, and building camaraderie among racers.

FEES AND DETAILS

Pre-purchase 6 nights of league racing for $175
Purchase one league night for $40 per night

  • Drivers must register in advance in person or by calling 804-378-6066
  • Registration closes three days prior to each league night
  • Registration fee includes a Thunderbolt Indoor Karting T-shirt
  • Drivers can participate in one night or all six
  • There are a maximum of ten drivers per division, and up to 2 divisions in a league

RACE DETAILS

Three races per league night:

  • First race is a qualifier based on time
  • Second race is a qualifier, start based on the first race - run on a reversed track
  • Third race, average start position is based on your first two races; grid start; racing for position (not time)
